“Allow me.”は、ドアを押さえて人が通るのを待つ場合や、パーティー会場やレストランでコートを脱ぎかけた女性に手を貸す場合など、相手に何かしてあげるときの丁寧な表現で、「どうぞ」「私がいたしましょう」という意味になります。
“Permit me.”とも言います。
“I can’t get this jar open.”
「この瓶を開けられないわ」
“Allow me.”
「私がいたしましょう」
“Allow me to introduce him to you.”
「彼をあなたに紹介しましょう」
