“You’re so toast!!”
be toast”という表現には、「駄目になる、終わる、死ぬ」などという意味です。
ですから、“You’re toast!”と言うと、「あなたは困ったことになっているよ」という感じで、「終わったな」、「おしまいだな」とか「ただじゃすまないよ」などという意味です。
“Uh-oh, is it 1am already? I promised my wife I’d be back by 11.”
「まずい、もう1時？妻に11時には帰るって約束したのに。」
“Well, you’re toast!”
「あらら、ただじゃすまないよ。」
