名詞の“discount”には、「値引き、割引」という意味があるので、“give me a discount”とすると、「私に値引を与える」⇒「値引きする」の意味です。
“Can you give me a discount?”とすると、「値引きしてもらえませんか？」「もう少し安くなりませんか？」「まけてもらえませんか？」などという意味になります。
“Could you give me a discount?”とすると、もう少し丁寧な言い方になります。
“It’s too expensive. Can you give me a discount?”
「高いですね。値引きしてもらえませんか？」
“We’ll give you a 10% discount.”
