“I’m sorry, but I’ll pass this time. How about a rain check?”
“pass”には、「(提案・誘いを)断る、見送る」という意味です。
“I’ll pass.”は、人から誘われたけれど、気乗りしない場合や、興味がない場合の返答として、「遠慮するよ」または「やめておくよ」という意味です。
“I’m having a dinner party on Friday night. Why don’t you come too?”
「金曜日の夜に、ディナーパーティをするんだ。君も来ない？」
“I’m sorry, but I’ll pass this time. How about a rain check?”
「ごめん、今回は遠慮しておくよ。また誘ってくれる？」
