“Does this make sense to you?”
“make sense”には、「意味が分かる」、「賢明である」、「道理にかなう」または「なるほどと思える」などという意味です。“That makes sense.”で「もっともだね」とか「なるほどね」という意味が近いですが、“That”が省略されて、“Makes sense.”となることも多い。
“Do you see what I’m saying?”
「私の言っていることが分かりますか？」
“Yes, that makes sense.”
「はい、もっともですね」
“Does this make sense to you?”
「お分かりになりますか？」
“It doesn’t any make sense, does it?”
「どうも変ですね」
“I can’t make sense of what he means.”
「彼の言っている意味が私には分からない」
