“I don’t mind one way or the other.”
“one way or the other”を直訳すると、「1つの方法かもう1つの方法で」という意味になりますが、（2つのうちの）「どちらでも」、「どちらにしろ」とか「いずれにせよ」という意味になります。似たような表現で、“One way or another.”という表現があります。
“one way or another”を直訳すると、「1つの方法か別の方法で」という意味になり、そこから、「あれこれやって」、「何とかして」、「どうにかして」とか「あれやこれやで」などという意味になります。
“one way or another”という表現では、選択肢がいくつかあって、その中から選べるのに対し、“one way or the other”という表現では、選択肢が2つだけという違いがありますが、言っても、“one way or the other”を「あれやこれやで」または「何とかして」という意味で用いる場合もあるようなので、そんなに厳密に区別して用いられているわけではないかもしれません。
“We could go out to eat or order take-out. I don’t mind one way or the other.”
「外食をしてもいいし、テイクアウトを注文してもいいよ。僕はどちらでも構わないよ」
