“Sorry to hear that, that sucks!“
“suck”と言うと、「吸う、すする、しゃぶる」という意味が真っ先に思い浮かぶかもしれませんが、「（物・事・人が）むかむかさせる、ひどい、最低だ」という意味使われています。
“That sucks!”と言うと、「最悪！」「それはひどいな」という意味になります。
“My bike was stolen last night.”
「昨夜、自転車を盗まれちゃったんだよ」
“That sucks!”
「それはひどいな。」
