“That’s awesome! Congrats!”
“awesome”という単語は、元々「畏怖（畏敬）させる、すさまじい」という意味ですが、アメリカの口語では、「すごい、すてきな、とてもいい」という意味です。
“That’s awesome!”と言うと、「すばらしい！」または「すごい！」などという意味になります。
“awesome”と同じような意味合いで用いられる単語は、“great”、“wonderful”、“amazing”、“excellent”
“fabulous”、“fantastic”、“neat”とか“terrific”など数えたらキリがないくらいありますね。
そして、「すばらしい！」とか「すごい！」と言う場合に、“That’s awesome!”を省略して、ただ単に“Awesome!”とだけ言う場合もあります。
以前に学習した“That’s cool.”という表現も「すごいね」という意味でも使えます。
ただ、最近では、“That’s cool.”という表現よりも、“That’s awesome!”という表現の方がよく用いられているようです。
“I got a promotion at work!”
「昇進したよ！」
“That’s awesome! Congrats!”
「すごいね！おめでとう！」
