“sell （人） short”には、「（人）を低く評価する、あなどる、軽視する」という意味です。
“Don’t sell yourself short.”と言うと、「自分を過小評価するな」「自分を安売りするな」ということになります。
“Don’t sell yourself short. You’re a great guy.”
「自分を安売りしないで。あなたはすばらしい人だよ。」
