“Can you imagine that I won?”
“Imagine that!”を直訳すると、「それを想像してみて」という意味になりますが、「それを想像してみて。そんなことは想像してもみなかったでしょう！」という意味合いで、「すごいね！」、「それは驚いた！」または「信じられない！」という意味です。
イギリス英語の“Fancy that!”も同様の意味になり、“Well, I never!”「それは驚いた！」とか「信じられない！」と同じような意味合いで使えます。“Fancy that!”は古い表現というイメージがあるようで、
今の若者はあまり使わないらしいです。
“My sister won the lottery.”
「私の姉が宝くじに当たったのよ」
“Imagine that!”
「すごいね！」
