“I overslept and then my car broke down. It’s really not my day today.”
“It’s not my day.”を直訳すると、「私の日ではない」という意味になりますが、そこから、「厄日だ」とか「ついてない日だ」という意味です。“It’s my day.”とすると、「ついている日だ」という意味になりますが、この“my”を、“your”や“his”などに変えることも使えます。“It’s not my week.”とすると、1週間ずっとついてないということになりますね。
