“Love is blind.”という表現は、日本のことわざの「あばたもえくぼ」とか「恋は盲目」と同じような意味合いになります。
つまり、「惚れてしまえば、相手の欠点も長所のように好ましく見えるものだ」という意味になりますね。
“I don’t understand why Jane likes Tom. He’s arrogant, he’s inconsiderate, and he isn’t even good-looking.”
「何でジェーンがトムを好きなのか分からないわ。彼って傲慢だし、思いやりがないし、それに格好良くもないのに」
