“Don’t worry. My lips are sealed.“
“My lips are sealed.”を直訳すると、「私の唇は封印されている」という意味になりますが、そこから、「誰にも言わないよ」「秘密は守るよ」などという意味ですが、口の端から端までチャックを閉めるジェスチャーをすることもあります。
また、“seal one’s lips”という表現は、「唇を固く結ぶ、口を閉ざす」という意味です。
以前に学習した“Your secret is safe with me.”という表現も同じような意味合いになりますね。
“Don’t tell anyone about this.”
「このことは誰にも言わないで。」
“Don’t worry. My lips are sealed.”
「心配しないで。誰にも言わないよ。」
