“Point taken. Let’s drop the subject.”
ここでの“point”は、「核心；主張、論点、意見」という意味ですが、“take someone’s point”とすると、
「（人）の話の趣旨を理解する、とか人）の話の核心をつかむ、；（人）の主張の妥当性を認める」という意味になります。
ですから、“Point taken.”と言うと、
「君の言い分が正しい」、「ごもっとも」、「君の言うとおりだ」、「その通りです」、「あなたのおっしゃる通りです」、「了解しました」または「わかりました」などという意味です。

「君の言うとおりだ。その話題はもう終わりにしよう」
