“Something’s funny,” the detective said！
「何かおかしいな」とか「何か変だな」という意味ですが、“funny”には、「愉快な、面白い、滑稽な、楽しい」という意味のほかに、「疑わしい、いかがわしい；奇妙な、不思議な」という意味もあります。“Something’s funny.”で、「何か変だ」「何かおかしい」という意味になっています。
“Something’s strange.”も同じような意味になりますね。
