“What nerve!”
“nerve”には、「神経、勇気、気力、度胸、精力」などの意味のほかに、「厚かましさ、図太さ、生意気」という意味ですが、“What nerve!” ＝ “What a nerve!” ＝ “Of all the nerve!”＝ “The nerve of it!” ＝ “Some nerve!”で、「何て厚かましい！」「図々しいな！」「何と横柄な！」「何て生意気な！」などという意味になっています。
“Bob asked me to drive him to the airport at 6 am!”
「ボブが午前6時に空港へ車で送ってくれって僕に頼んだんだ」
“What nerve!”
「図々しいな！」
“Then he demanded to see the manager!”
「その上、彼は支配人に会うことを要求したんだ！」
“What nerve!”
「図々しいな！」
